Hey all,

David has been really sick so I have not been online much or taking too many pictures of the family. Anyhow, I caught a baby snake for Calvin to enjoy and… well he didn’t care about the snake at all! However, I got some great pictures of the snake.

Woot! Fay is over for us down here. She is though still alive and well though.

We did have some issues, but all were minor compared to a lot of people in our area who was literally throwing buckets of water off their floors all day. I threw out buckets of water I pulled out of the floor with a steam vac. They didn’t even need a steam vac.

Now that the main part of the hurricane season is calmly approaching, we need to keep our eyes peeled on the Atlantic.

Flodded Home!

My office has been flooded out. Most of PSL is flooded now. Some people can’t even leave their homes as the water is so many feet high. The rain is still strong here, and it will continue throughout the night.

Schools are still closed for Calvin tomorrow.

Fay is flooding us out!

Hey all! We still have electricity! YIPPIE! However, our AC unit was not put in 100% right… they blocked the drain pipe and the water is now overflowing. David’s computer room is flooding out.
The sad thing is… the eye has yet to hit us.

Now… there’s also a tropical low out there… and it’s forcasted to… come at FL. >_< Sounds like fun… UGH!

Fay takes me away!

For the next few days, I will most likely not be online because of bad weather and such. The reason? Tropical Storm Fay. Don’t fret, I am on the East coast of Florida so I am not worried. Just will be having the normal bad weather. lol.

We recieved our first letter!

We recieved our first letter from our sponsored family! Here it is:

Dear Sponsor,

This is the mother of Zerina writing this letter to you because she is just a little girl and hasn’t learned to write yet. She goes to the kindergarten and has just started to learn to write the first letters and numbers. The kindergarten is 30 minutes far from our house. We live in a village of Paper commune. Our village is flat and surrounded with some small hills and there is a river near by.

Zerina lives with her parents and grabdparents. Our house is constructed with bricks and it has five rooms. The main food we use in our family is dairy products, vegetables, eggs etc. It is very hot in summer here.

I added a new gallery to share with you guys when we find something interesting to see! Right now it has a very interesting grass hopper. The bug was as big as my hand!
